“Pray for Sinners” was the request of Our Lady to St Bernadette. The Doctor who studied Bernadette asked her “What is a sinner?” She replied, “One who loves evil.” He was impressed, despite her poor education, that she said “loves” evil rather than “does” evil. These words were of the Spirit, for we all do evil at some time, we are all sinners, but when we are transformed by the love of Jesus it is difficult for us to “love” evil.
