St Joseph is a very powerful intercessor, he is given the title ‘Terror of Demons’ he was chosen by God to be the Foster Father of His Son Jesus, to be the protector of Mary and this makes him a great Patron Saint for all families in their difficulties. Here is a little known but very powerful prayer to St Joseph:

Prayer To St Joseph

St. Joseph, teacher of inner life, teach us to live day by day in intimate communion with Jesus and Mary and in trusting self-abandonment to the love of God the Father.

St Joseph, protector of the Nazareth family, we entrust to you the future of our families; may our homes be welcoming and loving. Help us in the Christian upbringing of our children.

St Joseph, you were a model to workers, we entrust to you our daily work; may it contribute to the well-being of all human beings. Help us to accomplish our work in a spirit of service. We pray to you for all those who are in search of work.

St Joseph, faithful guardian of the Church, God entrusted to you the protection of the mysteries of salvation; inspire Christians to be faithful witnesses to the Gospel, always and everywhere, at the heart of a world which is so sorrowfully in search of peace and brotherhood. Amen

Here also is a well known prayer to St Joseph:

Novena Prayer To St. Joseph

Oh, St. Joseph, whose protection is so great, so strong, so prompt before the throne of God, I place in you all my interests and desires.

Oh St. Joseph, do assist me by your powerful intercession and obtain for me from your divine son all spiritual blessings through Jesus Christ, our Lord; so that having engaged here below your heavenly power, I may offer my thanksgiving and homage to the most loving of Fathers.

Oh St. Joseph, I never weary contemplating you and Jesus asleep in your arms. I dare not approach while he reposes near your heart. Press Him in my name and kiss his fine head for me, and ask him to return the kiss when I draw my dying breath. St. Joseph, patron of departing souls, pray for us. Amen
