LORD AS I SAIL ON AN ANGRY SEA
Lord, as I sail on an angry sea
Let me turn the steering wheel carefully
Trying to reach a shore afar
Lord as my guide send me a star
Master abate the turbulent waves
Extend your loving hand that saves
Let me avoid rocks that may spell doom
Protect my boat from sharks that loom
Jesus guide me with your beacon
Lead me to the coming of the dawn
Help me safely reach my port
To my destination, let me not run short
As inspired by the song “Mother Of Christ” in my subconscious

This is a beautiful poem Carmen. Thank you for sharing it.
This poem is really touching, as it is honest and open. The ocean can be a scary and lonely place but Our Lady ” Star of the Sea” will surely help you and the Lord who is with you always will most certainly be there to meet you onshore to welcome you home with a big hug.
Thank you Theresa, Carmen does write very beautiful poems. God bless Geoff
Thank you Theresa for your review…yes, mama mary is one of the greatest gift of Jesus to Humanity, when during his agony on the cross he gave us the virgin mary to be our mother too when he said to john and mary, who were at the foot of the cross that time, “woman, behold your son….. son, behold your mother”…. As we, catholics call her as “mother of the church” those of the faith draws strength from her, most especially through the rosary…devotion to her, most particularly by us, women, gives us the strength to resist temptation, that comes like a turbulent sea, sometimes within us….like temptations to worldly pleasures…
Yes Carmen – I have found this to be true in my life too.
God bless.
