Divine Mercy by Theresa Brennan

Divine Mercy

In the humble host
Our broken bodies meet in true Communion
Profound and deep.

” Take, eat, this is my body given up for you.”

Hear His still and gentle voice in sweetest waters – deep.

In the cup of wine
My broken heart to His is wed,
Beloved bridegroom of my soul
Jesus you are my life, my all.

” Take, drink, this is my blood shed for you.”

Hear His still and gentle voice in sweetest waters – deep.

His flesh I eat – His blood I drink,
My heart is flooded with His love;
Such light the darkest caverns reach,
Transforming power from above.

” I am the living bread come down from heaven.”

Hear his still and gentle voice in sweetest waters – deep.
