The Heart of the World

The world is hungry for love
But it doesn’t know where to look!
The world has a hole in its heart,
A void that it cannot fill.
Only Christ can fill that hole,
But the world doesn’t know where to look.

The world is hungry for love!
The hole in its heart is God shaped;
Only Christ can fill that hole,
But the world doesn’t know where to look.

The world is hungry for love
But it can’t see the nature of the hole!
It searches in life for pleasure and power,
But the hole in its heart it can’t fill,
Because the world doesn’t know where to look.

The world is hungry for love!
Can I show the world where to look?
An abundance of love is so easy to find,
For God placed His love in a book.

The world is hungry for love
But it can’t fill the hole in its heart!
The Lord God above is patiently waiting
If only the world were to look.

The world is hungry for love
For the world has a hole in its heart!
God’s word would fill that hole,
If only the world were to look.
If only the world were to read God’s word,
Then the heart of the world would be whole.

The Everlasting Love

One day the earth will stop revolving,
The clouds in the sky will stop rolling,
The waves will no longer brush the shore -
But God’s love will be there for evermore.

The grass in the field will not always grow.
There will be no more rain, wind or snow.
The mountains will no longer stand so tall -
But God’s love will always be there for all.

The stars in the heavens will cease to shine.
The sun cannot burn beyond its time.
The rivers will not always run to the sea -
But God’s love will be there for you and me.

The earth and the moon will disappear.
The planets and the universe no longer appear.
Heaven itself will vanish the same -
But God’s steadfast love will always remain.

Time is precious

It only takes a minute at the start of every day
To tell the Lord you love Him as you kneel and pray.
It only takes a minute to thank Him for His love
And every precious gift He sends you from above.
It only takes a minute to offer your life to Him
And ask that He may keep you free from every sin.
It only takes a minute at the end of every day
To ask for forgiveness for the times you went astray.
Just a single minute can be such a precious thing,
When this single minute can a lifetime’s treasure bring.
