We cannot convert and purify our own hearts - only through God’s grace can this be achieved. But first we have to empty our hearts of all that is opposed to God’s grace. This is where we have a part to play, but even in this, we need God’s helping hand and so our conversion must begin with prayer.

The Holy Spirit is the author of all wisdom and truth, the devil is the author of all lies. Our souls are the publishers of both; this is why we need to discern what is good and true. To do this we must always pray to the Holy Spirit that His words will come first to the printing press.

Never let regrets cause you to sorrow, but live always in the joy of God’s forgiveness. You must love and be at peace with yourself before you can truly love and be at peace with others.

It is not enough that our hearts be transformed so that we love our neighbour for love of Jesus. Our hearts must be transformed so that we love our neighbour for the love of neighbour.

Our prayers are like the rains falling upon the earth, they make life blossom, and when they are of no use in one area, they are drawn up to the heavens and then dispensed else where, but they are never wasted or lost and their value never diminishes.

We must be the face of God upon the earth: His arms that embrace, His guiding hand, His loving smile. We must let everyone see the love of God through us - His Mystical Body.

As a Christian you know that Christ suffered and died upon the cross for your salvation, but have you ever considered this, that Christ suffered and gave of Himself an equal share for all of humanity? In other words, Christ suffered as much for your salvation as He did for anyone else! Let this thought help you to have a personal relationship with Jesus - for He personally gave Himself for you!

Love God in the simple ways: pray with a heart full of love, trust in God’s mercy, praise Him daily, love all people, forgive all things, give unselfishly and do not judge anyone. You don’t need health, wealth or power to love God in this way, all that you need is a heart that is willing to love!

Most people expect the occasional fall, and it is sometimes even necessary for them, that they may obtain wisdom and humility, but to repeatedly fall into the same fault is a weakness that must be overcome.
