Easter

Greetings dear family of our beloved Saviour Jesus Christ. We wish you all a joyous and holy Easter; may you experience the joy of your salvation, and the blessed hope of an eternal life that you have been promised through the redemptive suffering of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Amen.

"I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly." (John 10:10) I love Easter!!! What a joy it is to know Jesus, and to be born again through the transforming power of His love, to live a life of grace. Jesus came to deliver us from darkness, to cleanse our souls with His very own blood. He came to unite us to the Father in an eternal bond of love - one that can never be broken.

"I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me, thou he die, yet shall he live, and whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die." (John 11:25) What an awesome thought - we shall never die! We have been given the gift of eternal life - eternal life!!! And not just eternal life, but a blessed and beautiful eternal life in the presence of our Father in Heaven. Oh if only the whole world could understand what we are celebrating at Easter.

"And God Himself will be with them; He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning nor crying nor pain any more, for the former things have passed away."
(Rev 21:4) This is what we celebrate with joy: it is God's gift to His fallen children, through the suffering and death of His beloved Son, Jesus, we have been given the promise of Heaven. No one knows what Heaven will be like, and St Paul tells us that we cannot even begin to imagine the joy we shall know there, but to bathe in the heart of God's love, without any limitations, must be a wonderful and awesome thing, and something that we all have to look forward to, thanks to the finished work of our Saviour which took place on Good Friday.
